Thanks Thrak and ident, for your replies.
@Thrak:
TFC does show the entire log, you just move the side bar up
Plus, it will not "demand a reboot" if the files are not in use.
Yes I have since confirmed Firefox cache and what CCleaner removes:
After running CCleaner (Note: all browsers closed)
CCleaner Firefox Log: Actual Files Removed/Not Removed:
- cookies.sqlite Not Removed (Note: CCleaner support required to confirm)
- downloads.sqlite Removed
- formhistory.sqlite Removed
- places.sqlite Not Removed (Note: CCleaner support required to confirm)
- places.sqlite-journal Removed
@ident
Thanks ident, from the hint on about:config and also Thrak asking me to have a look at Firefox removed entries, I did ![;)]()
-------
What I have found ![:)]()
I first must apologize, I have read the "bytes" amount removed, incorrectly from running TFC. It was only 3Meg (not 30)
EDIT Since having contact with bugzilla.mozilla.org I have confirmed that it is 30 Meg (I thought it was originally
)
Firstly I checked Firefox: "about:cache?device=memory" and further default entries
All seemed ok.
I have found that TFC also removes folder:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profilename>
This folder contains:
- XPC.mfl FastLoad cache file for user interface components data.
- XUL.mfl FastLoad cache file for user interface extensions data.
- urlclassifier3.sqlite Phishing protection data.
So, the question is: Should CCleaner remove this as well?
Looking into XPC.mfl and XUL.mfl (and I note that they are cache files!) they could be removed, but its inconsequential as they are just re-created on next Firefox restart.
Further looking into file: urlclassifier3.sqlite This file should not be removed. As its "Phishing protection data" that increases in size as more sites are found (through User browsing) thus protecting the User.
Mind you it is also automatically re-created on next Firefox restart. But back to its default first installed state!
My conclusion ![;)]()
CCleaner does remove all temp files (Although I would like confirmation to 2 files I noted above (cookies.sqlite and places.sqlite)
TFC seems to remove further (up to 30 + Meg) of files, that may actually be required (further support required to confirm this)

So thanks for your general support guys. I hope that the request (from both of you) for me to provide more information has helped ![;)]()
Please also answer, specifically, my concerns above for more support info required.
