We have been using the free version of CCleaner for a long time. We have had no problems with updating until now. We are trying to update from 3.25.1872 to 3.27.1900 All of a sudden a screen comes up telling us "This installer requires you to be logged in as administrator" and our anti spyware/virus program blocks an infection called "Suspicious cloud 7l". Update will not download.
I use Norton anti-virus and had no problem downloading or installing CCleaner 3.27.1900. It may be a false positive from your a/v program. Which a/v program are you using?
Upload the file to https://www.virustotal.com/ and see what it says. I just uploaded the ccsetup327_slim.exe file and it reported as 0/44 detection ratio.
The CCleaner setup .EXE file you downloaded. Note that it isn't rare for an antivirus to produce a false positive against a perfectly clean setup file.
