I keep trying to download the latest update, and the machine says it has, but cannot find it. The previous updates have appeared on the desktop, but this one does not and I cannot find an area on the update manager that gives the option to direct where the update is going, or just says where the manager is sending it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Which browser are you using?
Have you tried just going here and downloading it manually to your desktop instead?

You are choosing 'save' and not 'run' when downloading?

I have used both Firefox 3.5 and Internet explorer. The site you showed is the same one I have been using, and I am checking "save" in the download box.
Thank you for the reply.
Hi Samjr.
In Firefox 3.5 have a look at Tools\Options\Main, and it will tell you where the downloads are going to, in the "Save Files To" box.
If you haven't done so already, you could change that to what you see in the image, or select the "Save Files To" option, and enter a location you want to download to each time. Your Desktop, or maybe make yourself a "Downloads" folder to keep track of stuff.
In IE, when you select "save" in the download window, you should then get a "where to save to" dialogue window, where you can navigate to your chosen download location.
The arrow shows the default download location, which is "Start\My Documents", but you can use this window to download to anywhere you choose.
Hope that helps, but post back if you still have a problem.
