Uninstall programs listed when click on Tools

When I click on on Tools I see a list of programs to remove about which I have no knowledge.

For example, a few of these are: Bufferchm, Cuetour, Destinations, many CP_Package programs, Destinations and many more.

These programs are not listed in Add/Remove list.

Cannot find any of these programs when I search the C:/ drive.

Cannot find what these are when do many google searches. Many persons ask about them in other boards, but no answers are given.

Cannot find references to these programs on this board.

Please advise, and thanks.

Many bloated programs like HP printer software, Microsoft Office, etc., will install sub-components that are required. The sub-components are normally hidden in Add or Remove Programs, however many uninstaller tools will list them. You run the risk of breaking the main application if you remove it's sub-components.

About the only way to find out what some of that stuff is you'll have to start tracking the installation of programs on your computer with something like Total Uninstall (Last Freeware Version), or ZSoft Uninstaller (Freeware).

yeah i hate programs that install little sub-programs without your knowledge..

Kazaa installs some weird program, if you uninstall it, Kazaa won't run anymore

AIM installs something also, called 'weatherbug'

all these companies are basically getting paid to put junk on your computer ;)

i'm glad CCleaner hasn't sold out (yet) :P what you see is what you get

although there's that Yahoo! searchbar thing.. but that's optional at the installation screen :)

The sub-components I was referring to have nothing to do with adware, spyware, or anything like that. What you're thinking of is a third-party software add-on which could be adware or spyware, or some toolbar.

For instance HP printer software may or will install a portion of the Sonic CD burning engine they're licensed to use which allows you to create a photo CD with the HP printer software. Now if you remove that Sonic CD burning sub-component you can't burn a photo CD with the printing software anymore.

What i want to know plz is how you put them all back in from the cleaner without having to do a full reformat.....the things it took out....i don't want out.....but there doesn't seem to be a way to put them back into the add/remove without starting completely from scratch..i'm not computer literate so hope there is some way to solve this.....tyty :)

You can reinstall a program to get it's uninstall link back.

It wouldn't be necessary to reinstall any programs to get the uninstall link back if they include their own uninstall.exe, uninst.exe in their program folder. Software compiled with installers like Inno Setup typically always have an unins000.exe file to get rid of the software and some people will make their software have an uninstall link in the programs start menu group.
