i have downloaded the latest version of ccleaner and after analyzing my registry, when i try to save the registry before deleting the issues the program automatically closes . I am able to delete the issues without saving them though. i ve reinstalled the program without any help. Can somebody help me.
Which operating system are you using?
Have you looked in 'my documents' which is the default place that the backups are saved to just in case they are there?
I am using xp home and i did search for a probable backup but could not find one anywhere. The problem is that ccleaner automatically closes on attempting to back up registry issues.
Have you checked thoroughly for malware? Try to visit at least a couple of online scanners with the ability to remove findings. Full scans. Microsoft runs one - it's free. Remember to change language if you're not in the US:

Malware can do this. And other issues such as damaged OS files. It's not necessarily a CCleaner matter.
Running chkdsk and scannow could also be useful.
