uBlock Origin Extension Support for Chrome Ending

Does anyone know if uBlock Origin will be made compatible with Manifest v3 so it will continue to work? Right now, Chrome is suggesting alternative extensions. I didn't see anything about this on the uBlock Origin website.

I did find this YouTube video that shows how to extend support for 1 year -

I hope not, I just installed it because for some reason my “host based” method of blocking isn’t working right for some reason. Edge secure dns off. weird but I’m trying UO so i hope it continues to work

Its sister app uBlock lite will not support Manifest3,
See here what gorhill said the other day

I suspect things will prove ‘difficult’ for uBlockOrigin now although the new 1.60 is in the Microsoft store and I have it on my machines.
Many folk are changing to Adguard

Thanks for the info. I just tried searching for it in the Microsoft Store but didn’t see it listed at all (any version). My Firefox browser still has version 1.59. Chrome and Edge automatically updated to version 1.60. Firefox appears to have blocked the update.

UPDATE: I was able to get beta version 1.60.1.1 downloaded and installed on Firefox from github.
