Two questions from a new user

Hello to all Piriform Ccleaner members,

I am a new user of the free version of Ccleaner and I have two questions.

  1. Is the 'registry' -> 'fix selected issues' completely safe (Win 10, Ccleaner 5.14)?
  2. On my compThere is a new version (5.15). In order to upgrade to the newer version I simply download and install it (No need to uninstall the older version)?

1. No registry cleaning is safe (on any program), so you were good to ask. Read my signature (the words below the post) for some good advice on using the ccleaner (or any) registry cleaner.

2. Click the update and install on top of (without first uninstalling) the old version. In 99.9999% of updates of ccleaner this will work with no issue.

Edit:(Be sure to exit ccleaner before running the update, though)
