this product is confusing

ok when browser gets slow I run CCleaner. Sometimes it finds 22 trackers, and removes 25. Sometimes finds 2,234 or more and removes 18ish. Sometime don't understand why I spent money to get pro version.trackers.thumb.PNG.71e00a520a6a3eb3fdfdf8efb0a41a46.PNG

Is there such a thing as PRO ACTIVE tracker preventing? Too much techie talk, button, switch, moving for me. I want something to prevent trackers so I don't have to stop what I'm doing close browsers, run CC and go back to work.

Help with simple suggestions please. Thank you so very much.

Your screenshot shows the FREE version, and what's more a FREE version that is over a year old? The current CCleaner version is 5.84.

Having said that the Free and Pro clean the same things.

You have to close a browser to clean it properly.

I think you may also have a missunderstanding of just what browser 'Trackers' are? (They are 'tracking cookies', they are not malware).

Have a read of this, it's as simple as I could make it while still explaining things:

To answer this specific question to prevent most of the "trackers", ads, and even some malware get a free ad blocker for your web browser(s). The one I use is uBlock Origin.

uBlock Origin for Firefox:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

uBlock Origin for Google Chrome and Chromium:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm

uBlock Origin for Microsoft Edge Chromium:

In the Windows Start Menu visit the Microsoft Store and search for it.
