Looks like I've been doing it wrong for my entire life. But then again, I don't go out of my way to emulate monkeys.
Same here. I have always peeled them using the wrong difficult way.

When at a zoo as a child I learned what to do with the peel/skin afterwards by watching a gorilla put them on his head as a hat.
I've been peeling them that way for years; you don't get the little stringy bits when you open them this way!
I think I prefer that way. lol
But what if he wants to start munching away on my nanners all willy nilly?

Just opened another banana the wrong way - that is one mother of a habit to break
just eat them with the peel still on, that's how I eat kiwis
