Looks like I've been doing it wrong for my entire life. But then again, I don't go out of my way to emulate monkeys. :P

Same here. I have always peeled them using the wrong difficult way.

When at a zoo as a child I learned what to do with the peel/skin afterwards by watching a gorilla put them on his head as a hat. :lol:

I've been peeling them that way for years; you don't get the little stringy bits when you open them this way!
