Good day.
We are interested to know why the background changes when we click the “Analysis” button in the “Custom clean” category.
Every time we launch the application in the morning on a new workday,
we see that the window changes color to light blue, and we wait for advertising, after clicking the buttons on two consecutive windows, we click the “Analysis” button again, but the background changes again. The background changes almost constantly, even if there is no advertising during the current use.
Why was this done? What is the point of changing the window color, even if there is no advertising and it has already been skipped?
We observe a pause with the change of the window background color, what caused this?
why do we see a change of background, or a certain state of some change of interface, when we click the “Analysis” button,
why are you doing this?
every time we click the button we see this change of background, is this done to preserve vision? or does the ad check turn on with each click?
best regards, Dmitry,

That sounds more like a Windows display customisation setting than anything I have seen in CCleaner.
The window background colour can be changed to show when a process using that window is “busy”.
It is more common if/when your display is in ‘High Contrast’ mode.
Hi formasters777:
If I run a Custom Clean in CCleaner Free v6.38 and click the “Run CCleaner” button (i.e., after the preliminary “Analyze” scan as finished) one of two things happens as soon as my disk cleanup has finished:
- I see two pop-up adds nagging me to upgrade to CCleaner Profeessional (see the images in my 02-May-2025 post in web1’s Too many popups of ccleaner), or
- My entire CCleaner interface briefly turns grey / fades out as shown in the image below.
If you observe something similar then see Jeff_M’s 01-Apr-2025 topic Screen flashes. If I recall correctly this glitch started in CCleaner v6.34 and can occur if the pop-up adds fail to render correctly after a Custom Clean. User redwolfe_98 reported in their 02-Jun-2025 post in yomama’s CCleaner ver 6.34.11482 freezes computer for 10-15 seconds after cleaning finishes that this glitch locked their CCleaner interface and forced them to kill the CCleaner process in Task Manager, and the image in that post showing a “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” warning suggests the pop-up ads sometimes fail to render correctly if there is a temporary disconnect to the backend CCleaner servers.

If the background changes when clicking the “Analysis” button, it’s likely triggered by a JavaScript event listener or a CSS class toggle. This action may visually indicate that analysis mode is active or loading. To modify or debug it, inspect the button’s onclick handler or check related CSS transitions or styles.
