is there a software to lock system tray icons?? ..

example my utorrent icon my little brother exit it when he is playing..i want to lock it to not disturbing my downloads... :unsure: :unsure: :unsure:

Can you right click the tray icon and hide it if it has that feature?

Try this ;)

Open Utorrent->Options->Preferences->General->Uncheck, Always show tray icon............ done.

You could try exiting the program, then opening it backup

Downloaded utorrent and went through the preferences but couldn't seem to hide the tray icon without actually shutting it down.

If the tray icon isn't showing it still shows in the takbar as minimized.

See no tray icon for me, strange :unsure:

Edit: Your right Humpty, for me as soon as you minimize it, the tray icon is back.

What about right clicking the task bar, select properties > customize, and click in the behaviour column for that icon, and select "always hide", and apply.

Also check "hide inactive icons".

Out of sight, out of mind.

i know that but i dont like that becoz just "show the hidden icons" by brother see my icon :unsure::unsure:

How about just don't let your brother use the computer when you are using it for something else?

I thought you might know that, but as no one mentioned it, I thought I would.

If the little guy just won't leave well alone, why not just lock the pc until your stuffs finished.

Both simple password activated locks.
