System tray problem

Hi all!!

Im having trouble with my system tray or "taskbar"?? im not sure what it is called

,, ( these icons in the bottom right of the screen,,)

Im using XP home ed,, some of my usual icons are missing,, like bluetooth and audio control,,

now my bluetooth is not working,,

anyone had this problem before?

plz help...

thanks..

go to start then programs.

look for the program in there and start it.

it may just be that its not running. :)

Also, after everything is the way you want it, right click on the bar away from any icons>properties>customize>and then behavior. Then set the ones you desire or don't want. Also, enable "Lock the Taskbar" in the main context menu, although I think that may just be for the quick launch items on the left side.

ive already tried clicking it from the start>progams,, there is a msg promt: No local bluetooth device was found.

i also tried to set all the behaviors to "always show" ,, but nothing happened...

is there any connection with start up and system tray?

anyone? pls,,, :)

Yes there is and it sounds to me like you may have disabled some startup items that it turns out you actually need.

so it looks like the drivers are messed up.

try uninstalling it then reinstalling it.

also, you can check to make sure everything is running ok by (right clicking) my computer>properties>hardware>device manager

check and if anything has a red X or a yellow ! it means theres something wrong with it.
