Is there a way to stop ccleaner from removing the system restore points? I prefer to remove them in my own time . Thank you. new kid on the block.
Hi young lochinvar, and welcome to the forum.
CCleaner shouldn't be removing any System Restore points unless you select "System Restore" in the "Tools" section, then manually highlight them and select "Remove".
Which Operating System are you on, version of CCleaner, and can you say where you downloaded it from.
Also if you are running WipeFreeSpace (which you shouldn't) windows may be removing System Restore points as drive space is filled

Thank you Dennis D and Negral. I have the latest vers. of CCleaner and I.E.8 I think Negral hit it, as I wipe the drive last thing at night if I'm running CCleaner and have it switch off automatically, then my screen saver kicks in until morning. I really appreciate your replies. Have a great day
Wipe free space should be used sparingly if ever. it will extremly reduce the life of your harddrive.
