Suggestion: Remember Settings When Installing New Version

Just a quick suggestion for an already great product. It would be nice if CCleaner remembered my existing settings during installation of the latest version. That way, users wouldn't have to uncheck the same boxes with each upgrade.

Thanks for listening - and keep up the great work!

Welcome to the forums VMan.:)

It's been suggested before, and I've also suggested myself a number of times. I'd think it would be easy with an install.ini file located in the CCleaner program folder. Here's to hoping we get our wish, wait and see I suppose!

Thanks, Andavari - appreciate the warm welcome. :D

Glad you've suggested this before. It's always good to know you're not alone. LOL I know it must border on insignificance, but in my mind, it's one of those nice little features that would appear easy to implement.

Thanks for the quick reply!

+ 3 from me.

Very good idea.

Extra clicks are a nuisance.

Perhaps CCleaner can read the standard install folder settings.ini to "know" what to check or uncheck. Most people will be installing to the standard location, after all, so if it misses a few people/locations, then they should know already that using nonstandard locations (flash drive, anyone?) will result in it creating new settings anyway!
