Hi, I just signed up for the trial for CCleaner and after updating drivers and software my display on my desktop is stretched and too large. Have tried numerous suggestions from the internet (forums) but can’t get it to display to where is was, Thanks in advance.

I’ve removed your email address as publishing it like that can attract spammers to you and the forum.
I’d suggest that you try to revert/roll-back any display driver(s) that you updated.
CCleaner can attempt to do that for you.
Open the Driver Updater and do a scan, it may tell you that there is an issue with a driver, eg.
If you don’t see something like that then use the “Fix a problem” button, then “Help Me” and follow the screens fot the type of driver you suspect (In your case Monitor or display),
You will get another screen showing what drivers you updated for that type of device, where you can select them and revert them.
If/when the driver is sucessfully reverted then you will get this message and asked to restart your computer:
Thanks for the response but unfortunately it says it couldn’t covert the driver so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
If you you have been looking online then this may have already been suggested:
If you know which driver is causing the problem (presumably it’s a display adapter here?) then you could uninstall that device in Device Manager.
Then ‘Restart’ Windows - which shoud reinstall the device hopefully with the Windows recommended driver or the Basic Display driver on the Restart.

Yes I have tried that a couple of times and after restarting I have the same display driver as before. Thanks
You have to wonder then if the issue has another cause and the driver update (if there even was one?) is just a red herring?
Coincidences do happen and it can be easy to go chasing the wrong cause.
I’ve done it myself more than once, chasing what I thought was causing an error when in fact it was something else.
I decided to delete the software associated with the display driver and then re-installed the software and although I didn’t think the software downloaded correctly, it did fix the problem. Thanks for the support.
Good to hear.
At least it was just the software and didn’t need a full Windows reinstall.
As long as a problem gets sorted out then it’s a win.
