Ccleaner Version 7.6.1270.0 Runs as a service and always starts with Windows. I do not want it starting or running unless I tell it too. How do I disable this as it only always runs in the background and I dont it to?
You cannot, cleaner now runs as a windows service. You could change the service to manual, manually start it (by opening cleaner and telling it to start the service) and you manually stop it (in services.msc or task manger or computer management) when done with ccleaner
well then I will just have to switch, Shame really as I used to love this program, but is now bordering on Bloatware with this and all the addons now. Guess I will uninstal. Thank you for your reply however.
I agree. This is BS!! I have used CCleaner for so long that I cannot even remember when I started it. It is/was my favorite. I am going to try and go back to the previous version, but that means I will not be able to update it properly. I will be discontinuing using CCleaner until they change this. There are way too many excellent options to have to put up with this crap!!
