Start/Run Box + Start Menu Most Recently Used Programs

How do I clean out;

A) The Start/Run Box user assist history

and

B) The Start Menu's most recently used programs

I have managed to clean both of these out but I have not been able to track which selections done this, in particular I do not really care for clearing the Start Menu's most recently used programs but it keeps happening when Iam trying to find out how to clear out the Run box history.

I have selected the 'User Assist Histroy' but it doesn't always seem to work?
