Am running Windows 10 Pro.
I’m looking to download and save a standalone (offline) installer for CCleaner Professional 6.40.11562. (A complete setup file, approximately 80 MB.)
So far, I’ve only been able to find small online install stubs (a few KB in size), or links to CCleaner Portable.
If anyone here knows where I can download a full-size offline installer for Windows, I’d be most grateful for your help. Thanks!

Oh, I’m very sorry.
Stupidly or not, I was thrown off base by the phrases “Sunset release” and “Windows 7.” Had the file been labeled “Windows 7-10” (or “Windows 7-11” if applicable), I’d have realized what I was looking at.

It’s because it’s an acknowledged loophole, ccleaner 7 isn’t compatible with windows 7 thus 6.40 is the last that works for them (for now, as browsers and apps change 6.40 will be rendered useless and as 7’s footprint lessens the sunset version will probably go away. Alternately, use the portable (which is also frozen at 6.40 to my sadness)

I wonder if there are any decent CCleaner alternatives floating around? I haven’t looked—not yet, anyway. But if the day comes when future versions of Windows (or other apps) no longer work with a 6x version of CCleaner Pro, I’ll jump ship.
