SSD Detection: allow secure delete on HDDs but not SSDs

Many of us have machines that have both SSDs and HDDs installed. We know disk wiping utilities are pointless on SSDs but CCleaner seems to have an all or nothing approach to disks when it comes to overwriting files that it deletes.

Since Speccy et al have SSD detection, can that logic be added to CCleaner so that we can just check 'secure delete' and HDDs will get it while SSDs will get 'normal delete'? (and a short note to that effect on the options dialog, too)

Or is that already implemented and I missed it?

Thanks!

Actually a secure delete (one pass of zeroes only!) is very close to a TRIM command, which is why there was so much excitement about this feature on the ocz forums a few years back, even though they didn't fathom out the reason why.

But yes, if you have a TRIM enabled OS and SSD, then secure delete and wipe free space are pretty much redundant. So I don't see why CC can't have the same SSD logic as other Pirifom products.
