spybot s.d- ram resources

Any idea why spybot s.s uses about 40mb Ram even though it does not have an online shield, only an inmunizer(like spyware`s blaster inmunizer that is not in the background)?

Thanks

Is this just when running it, or do you have the TeaTimer resident shield running.

It also has that IE BHO to silently block bad pages.

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

The 40 MB is when it is not running, only the tea timer is.

If my default browser is FireFox ,you think is there something to disable ? I do not need all the IE related protections ,except on rare occasions that sites are not well fetched by FF.

Thanks

That pretty much answers your own question in a nutshell. ;)

I don't know what your surfing habits are, etc., so it's up to you if you need or don't need TeaTimer actively protecting your system and how many people share your system and what their surfing habits are. Although for me a 40 MB consumption would mean I'd turn it off, however you need to make your own decision.

I honestly don't think the IE BHO add-on that silently blocks bad pages is going to consume that much, and is more-or-less worth leaving installed because you never know when it will protect you when you're venturing in IE one day.
