misread your title, please be more specific. did you use drive wiper or wipe frespace
There are various wipe options in CCleaner, eg.
which is used in conjunction with:
And then there is:
which has you can see has various options of it’s own.
So as Nergal asks which one did you use?
If you did wipe the files and not just the freespace then:
Has Easus actually found the contents of the files, or has it just found the filenames?
ie. Have you tried to open any of the files found?
The filenames are stored in the Windows Master File Table. (MFT).
So while the names of erased files may still be in that table to be found (until Windows overwrites the MFT) the actual files are no longer there to be opened.
Yes, Easus not only showed the files especially videos, but they were all playable and so were the photos and other files. I sold several of these old drives and thought they were cleaned, but now I see they were not.I had not selected any options in the settings area, but will have to try them all over again as I have about 6 to do and they say ,“Three days to wipe drive space”, What makes m entry is that they say wiping the drive space will prevent any recovery, that is not true. Also they claimed that wiping the MFT will prevent restoration, also not true.So now all my private information is already out there on my other drives.Just replying on this site is also cumbersome, took a while to add text
strowhy do they make this site so over done?
