Speccy 1.35 will not run on Windows XP, says it's not a valid Win32 application.
1.32 is fine.
The system requirements are still the same, and include Windows XP.
Is that right?

Which service pack? Iirc, and it's been a loooooooong time you need service pack 2. That said i have no idea if speccy still supports xp.
It was a deep search but i found it on microsoft store and it says 10 is minimum, but that might be because store's minimum is 10

Thanks @Nergal.
My Windows XP is SP3 32 bit with all the available updates.
I can't find any reference in the changelogs about withdrawal of support for XP, you would think something as fundamental as that would be mentioned, and the stated system requirements are the same as they always were.
Of course, withdrawal of support for XP (and Vista and Windows 7) would hardly be a surprise, but the developers should say so if they do that!
The other strange thing is that the installer appears in a foreign language when run on XP, whereas on Windows 10 (I have a multi-boot machine) it appears in English!
Very strange....

Just for info, System Requirements are listed here half way down on the left.
However it is listed as version 1.33.
https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/download
System Requirements
Windows 10, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP. Including both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but not RT tablet editions.</em>
Please see here about version history query

Thanks @hazelnut I saw that thread.
The version I've now got on Windows 10 is 1.33.0.75, which I installed from the downloaded installer.
I've not seen 1.33.0.79.
1.33.0.75 works fine on Windows 10, but on Windows XP it apparently installs fine, but then will not run, just putting up an error message that it's not a valid Win32 application. Could that be because it's actually the 64 bit version? If that were the case, I wouldn't expect it to even install on a 32-bit OS.

Only if you're clicking on speccy64.exe, else it shouldn't be running the 64bit version
Ah thanks @Nergal it can't be the 64 bit version then, as it's called speccy.exe.
All a bit of a mystery then why it won't run on XP.
I guess we'll have to wait until someone from the developers responds.

Same experience here, Speccy v1.32 is the last that works on XP (SP3 32bit). v1.33 installs in another language (Polish)? Then won’t launch. Last version of CCleaner that works on XP is v5.64.7577
Website needs to be updated to state that XP isn’t supported on v1.33!
Thanks, that confirms it!
Yes, the system requirements do now need to be updated.

Allot of software may state it supports WinXP, but then it gets updated could even be minor and then it doesn't work.
I think the issue could be that software houses no longer have an WinXP machine to use for testing, and not that they'd want to or bother, but they should at least update their system requirements.
It can be the opposite also, some software states it requires Win7 (or higher), or Win10 or higher, yet it works without issues on WinXP.
