Simply close it using the ‘X’ at the top right of the UI.
Or you could open Task Manager, right cleck on CCleaner, and End Task.
It’s probably sticking because the update is asking for information (or just a click) that CCleaner can’t give it.
Use CCleaners Software Updater to see what it is finding to update, but don’t try update it with CCleaner.
Instead update it yourself, most apps have a ‘Check for updates’ in their Help menu.
Hi @Moorin,
Were you able to close out of this window?
If so, were you able to run Software Updater fully after this?
Window still won’t close, Software Updater won’t reset. Seems to be an obvious bug in system to produce result 3 out of 2 programs updating !
Another user has reported curing this Software Updter problem by downloading/reinstalling CCleaner 7 again.
You can download a new installer from here, once downloaded double-click it to reinstall CCleaner:
Don’t uninstall your current CCleaner - just install a new one over the top of it and the new einstall will (should) pick up your licence key from it.
