Software updater Reporting errors

The software updater is reporting putty and skype as being out of date versions. I check them manually and putty is current and no other putty.exe is found on the system. Skype is not installed though MS Office 2021 is. The Office product is up to date. Unfortunately, the CCleaner results don't show the file and path of the file it determined is out of date. Is there a way of determining this information or a way of reporting errors to CCleaner?

The software updater can often offer you an update before 'Check for Updates' in the app in question will do.

Sometimes it will offer then even before they are officially announced on the apps website.

The first happens because software developers 'throttle' the release of updates so that not everyone is trying do download them at once and overloading their servers.

So 'Check for Updates' may tell you that you have the latest even though there is already a later one that you will not get for a number of days yet.

The second can happen because an update is often finished a few day or more before it is announced/released, if you know where to look then they can be found early.

(For example MajorGeeks will often offer a new CCleaner update before it has been announced on here).

Or there again it might just be an error in the software updater, if those apps haven't updated themselves in a week or so then it's probably an error.
