Software Updater never finishes, cannot stop

When you click Stop, it won’t stop. If I quit CCleaner and restart, I still can’t get it to stop. I shut down the computer and restart, then open CCleaner, open Software Updater… still can’t make it stop.

”Updating 7 of 6 programs… preparing for installation”.

Please follow these steps to help us investigate the issue:

  1. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe
  2. Replicate the issue on your end.
  3. Run the tool to generate the logs.
  4. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.

Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.
