Software Updater missreports K-Lite Codec Pack Versions

…and it does it systematically and reproduceable.

Whenever you use the K-Lite full installer (i.e. K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1900_Standard.exe), then CCleaner will be able to recognize the correct version number of the installed K-Lite pack and reports it correspondingly accurate.

If you have done so (i.e. having V 19.0.0 installed) and a minor update (V 19.0.1) of K-Lite comes along without the full installer but as usual with the update installer (i.e. klcp_update_1901_20250609.exe), then the Software Updater of CCleaner is missreporting it - telling you, that you’re still on 19.0.0 although the version number is correctly entered in the system (as you can see from the screenshots).

CCleaner does that for a while by now but didn’t in the past.

…sorry, I had to delete the uploaded screenshots, being a CCleaner Premium customer seems not to be enough to be allowed to post two screenshots.

If you are sure that it’s a false report then ignore CCleaner. (It’s just an app, you don’t have to do what it says).

Updaters, both Software updaters and Driver updaters are notorious for getting things wrong.
Advanced/techie computer users never trust them, (and don’t usually use them).

So just a bug report from a paying customer - there are no uncertainties, questions or calls for advice.

That is fine and not a problem, this is the bug reporting area.

Please feel free to ignore that advice too.
(The advice is there more for other users who may read your bug report).
