Software Updater Error: Microsoft OneDrive

Software Updater says current version is 24.232.1118.003 and new version is 26.032.0217.0003

Microsoft OneDrive says it is running 26.026.0209.0004.

Microsoft is slow to roll out updates (which may be the case here) the update to onedrive showed up in my ccleaner last night too, I thought it was beta so i opted in to insider but that version number was higher than ccleaner reported so it wasn’t informing on that.

I can’t remember the delivery-method for onedrive is (I looked in store and checked for windows updates and neither had it) I forgot to update 365 (office) maybe it’s hidden in there.

That’s interesting mine reported correct version as installed. Was your computer originally win 10? My pc is pretty new so maybe ccleaner wrongly looks at the original install version instead of the current version installed. @CCleaner_Admin can someone look into this

Please send me a screenshot showing what you are seeing in Software Updater and of the version number as reported by OneDrive.

Also, send me debug logs by following the steps to help us investigate the issue:

  1. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe
  2. Replicate the issue on your end.
  3. Run the tool to generate the logs.
  4. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.

Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.

My PC has always been Windows 11. An interesting twist was that when I was able to get to the OneDrive download page, Microsoft told me that the version on my PC was later than that being downloaded and questioned whether I wanted to continue. I did not continue.

The File ID: ON89J

Will now execute Updater in CCleaner

Current Version: 24.232.1118.0003 New Version: 26.051.0316.003 (per CCleaner)

According to the Uninstall app in CCleaner, the current version is: 26.051.0316.003

I just scanned again with the same results.

Hi @papabear00,
Please generate the log files via the support tool after you have attempted the update, as the log files will then cover the time the update was tried.
After you have done this, please let me know the new 5 digit File ID.
If you have any issues, please message me back.

Today’s execution: CCleaner identified older version as current, though the current version is the latest one.

Please generate log files for CCleaner using the instructions above and let me know the 5 digit file ID so we can investigate this further.
