Just updated to professional version of CCleaner, after many years of standard application.
Small problem - using the software udate for “KLite Codec Pack, version 19.0.1” it will not update. Hit update button and ger Updating software to “not started”
Any ideas…
if there is an update available for k-lite codecs, go to the k-lite website and download and install the update.
Thanks for response. CCleaner site says update available but when I try to download it just sits and says “not started”. Tried download from K-Lite site but Chrome says not needed… !
That’s the problem with any updater. (For software or drivers).
They can only say that there is a ‘newer’ version, they can’t tell you if it is needed or even suitable for your machine.
(With drivers in particular updating to a ‘newer’ one that is not for and does not suit your machine can break your machine).
Personally I don’t let CCleaner try to update anything.
If it says there is an update for an app then I will go to that app and update it from there, or from the apps website.
(I don’t update drivers unless I have a problem with one, if it’s working OK then don’t try to fix it).
