Software issue updated adobe Acrobat reader continuous build 24-002-20965. As instructed by my ccleaner. Yet when I rescan software updates, it keeps asking me to download the Adobe program again. Even though CCLEANER has verified the program is installed
I saw the same thing happening on one of my laptops earlier this week.
I solved it by opening Adobe Reader and updating it from there. Once that was done then CCleaner stopped trying to update it.
Open Reader and go to Menu>Help>Check for updates.
PS. Sometimes when you update a software/app you need to 'Restart' your computer before that update is fully installed, without that Windows Restart the update isn't complete and you still have the old version showing in the Windows Registry (and may still have the old version running).
CCleaner will usually warn you if the update needs a Windows Restart to complete it. but if you have turned the warning messages off then of course it won't do that.
(However in this case I just didn't get any such warning from CCleaner, so updated through Reader itself instead).
