I've been thinking about getting SIW (SIW 1.73) mainly for checking temperatures.
There are 2 Freeware English versions:
1- Standaloan
2- With Installer
There are also downloads for:
3- SIW Viewer Page
4- Control Panel Applet for SIW
I have a spare USB flash drive that I could put the "Standaloan" version on, however I will probably just use the "Installer"
Do I need to install the "SIW Viewer Page" or the "Control Panel Applet" ?
Any useful info please
I have 1.71 in a standalone version, just keep it in my docs for when I want some info.
It's a neat little thing and you will find out loads about your computer from it.
I don't have the other 2 things you mention.
It's a new year, give it a try

Hi hazel , so the "Standalone Version" doesn't need to be on a different drive?
The "SIW Viewer Page" is for showing XML reports.
"Control Panel Applet for SIW" ? Dose this mean it's integrated with Windows Control Panel?
No, the standalone version doesn't need to be on a different drive, although you can put it on a usb which could be handy for dragging and dropping onto different computers.
With the standalone version when you don't want it any more you just delete the siw.exe file, with the installer version you have to do it via add and remove.
Not sure about the other two Craig I don't have them they sound just like addons, you could always download them later for a look if you wanted to
Thank hazel , I downloaded the "Standalone Version" and I'm very happy with it.
I was using "SysSpec" but this is much better .

I like SpeedFan for monitoring temperatures and fan speeds.
There is an updated beta release that works well also
