Simple Registry question

Greetings,

So I deleted a "useless" registry startup entry-so I thought after diligent research.

The dreaded popup message " IgfxTray.exe can't be found error message" now appears on start-up. I never adjust my Intel graphics settings on this laptop. It's purely a number crunching spreadsheet laptop. So i deleted it instead of using "disable."

And no it is not a virus version.

And no I didn't save a copy because I've used Ccleaner for years and never deleted a registry entry that I didn't need.

So why am I here?

Well I read that is it possible to find and restore deleted Ccleaner registry files manually.

Something about .inf files stored in the Ccleaner documents files.

However, I cannot find where Ccleaner has stored the deleted registry files on my computer. They do not appear in "my documents" folder.

I am always logged in as Admin.

I can see the entries when I use Autorun; but cannot seem to restore them this way.

Thanks for any help.

SIncerely,

C.

No, if you made no backup than you cannot restore it. The information you reference is either incorrect or you misread it. I would suggest either a system restore point or reinstalling your graphics driver

Thanks. I reinstalled the graphics drvers .

Worked fine.

Thanks for your help.
