Show locations cleaned on user select

CCleaner should show the directory(ies) cleaned by an option selected on the left, in the blank white space on the right when users hover over it.

_____

Example:

_____

User right-clicks Recent Documents & selects Analyze.

User clicks the total to see the detailed list to see what files are removed.

But if they ran CCleaner recently, they may not see anything listed when they analyze Recent Documents.

They only see 0 bytes removed.

_____

When a user left clicks Recent Documents, it would be great to show that it cleans:

C:\Users\*User Name*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

* Piriform outtage took attached pic, so edited post for better textual understanding

In Options/Advanced, check Show Initial results in Detailed View, et voila!

I doesn't stop the questions, unfortunately.

No, no, no! You misunderstand what I mean, LOL! I have used that before, & it works... AFTER you analyze first.

My idea was to make CCleaner where a person could simply click each entry, & it would automatically show the locations cleaned by it to the right.

Without having to analyze or clean in order to see the items. This way, they could understand whether they wanted to tick or untick a checkmark box based on what it cleaned.

* Right-click analyze of individual items only shows a path if there is something to clean. Otherwise, it is blank. Even then, even with detailed view on, it only works properly with the whole section analyze. For individual items, it still shows them in compact view & you have to click it again to see it.

I had it in mind that a user could simply click an item to the left, and the file path(s) it cleans would show up to the right of it. This would make it very easy to tell if you wanted to tick an item for cleaning.

+1

It would be nice. And it would stop questions about what particular cleaners do.

OK, I get it, mea culpa. Whilst the idea is appealing initially, I think it could be confusing for those unfamiliar with CC. Some lists would be bewilderingly long, and some, such as ChkDsk fragments, would show the location to be cleaned as C:\, would they not?

I like the idea, but what about things like SpecialKey

I agree with these whole-heartedly

the /export command line is already available, and I believe documented, but at least mentioned in the FAQ

to most people, even a file location looks like Chinese.

Just say it does something "Special" and leave it at that. Then again they could have some online/cloud database of descriptions. The likelihood of it being implemented I do doubt.

yep

DetectFile=SpecialKey1 or something to that effect (not on pc)

True!

What if they put * Chkdsk files are stored in root dir C:\ as a footnote at the bottom?
