Hi,
I've tried CCleaner secure disk eraser on a hard disk of my office desktop computer, and on a USB key on my laptop : neither work !
I wait for something to happen, but the progress bar appears and stay at 0% for several hours.

What are the Operating Systems ?
Has I.T. Administration protected office computers from being erased ?
What HDD are you erasing in the office - the one with Windows ?
What sort of Flash Drive.

1 - Desktop (I wrote "Office Computer", sorry it's a bad translation, it's my personal desktop computer) :
windows 7 home edition
full administrator
SATA data disk (physically different from the one with Windows), no protection
2 - Laptop (professional computer) :
Windows XP SP3
local administrator
standard USB key, no protection
Just to be sure, are you trying to erase free space only or the entire contents of the disk.
NB I have no experience of either - just clarifying the problem for those with experience.
