I'm also trying to schedule ccleaner to run automatically at a given time. I followed all examples in the "How to enable the CCleaner AUTO parameter" post but can't get the ccleaner shortcut to run. When I click on it, it does nothing at all. If I remove the /AUTO from the "Target" description in Properties, it'll run fine...but I'd like it to automatically run minimized and then close with no prompting on my part. Is there another way to do this? Or could there be a reason the /AUTO won't work for me? (My OS is WinXP.)
auto runs it in the background.
it does run when using that option but its not visible.
its just like right clicking recycling bin then clicking run.
let us know if that works for you.

omg you're right!! How simple is that? Guess I'm not used to a program being so efficient that the only way you can tell is by hearing it work the hard drive. What a little gem ccleaner is.
Thank you for the reply.
I never thought of the GUI not appearing to stump someone so I updated the F.A.Q. portion of that guide to state just that.
