I have a suggestion: if you get an update notice for Ccleaner, and you run it, but then Ccleaner says you already have the latest version, watch out, that was probably not from Ccleaner. And, if I give you the information, can you tell my credit card source that the charge is not from you, do not pay it?
usually the onus is on the buyer to contact the card company, I’ve never heard of a retailer intervening on the behalf of a customer.
nonetheless this is a user forum and we can not provide aid for payment accounts. i will note that an update did in fact happen on 28 may 2025 (pacific time)
There is no charge for updates to a new CCleaner version, they happen (about monthly) for free.
Are you talking about something else?
Maybe a yearly subscription renewal?
NB. Don’t post any reference numbers or other private details here.
When you say “update notice” then just what kind of notification was it:
An email? A Windows notification (bottom right)? A pop-up in CCClener itself? Something else?
Thanks for the reply. From the point of view of the card company, it looks like an ordinary transaction, so I suppose I could notify the vendor and ask them to do a refund. I do have a reply now from
Korine May from the CCleaner Customer Care Team
asking for some information, which I think I can provide.
And saying:
there is no active subscription associated with your email address, ** I deleted that **. Additionally, there are no pending charges made under this account
As you can see, I am also replying to nukecad.
