Anyone play? My friend and I have been trying to get a server up for quite some time, but it always seems to fail at connecting to the master server. Does anyone know what'd cause this? Screenshot -> http://omploader.org/vMzdpZg
I've never heard of it, although I've just had a look at a video HERE:
Looks good if it's the same thing, but how the hell do you shoot things jumping around like that?
There's a download link of 331mb on that page. I take it that's not the whole program?

Its a pretty sweet game, thats the installer (binary)
Its actually a lot easier than it looks, I've been playing for 2 years though !
InstaCTF and Co-op edit are my preferences though.
I played a bit of assault cube http://assault.cubers.net/ (like Sauerbraten uses the cube engine http://cubeengine.com/) and its only a 40Mb download, good game yet such a small download, lol
Haven't played in years tho', and now have TF2...
Never had any issues joining a server, have you tried disabling your firewall in case its blocked the game?

Looks like a bunch of drug crazed kangaroos!
Looks like Unreal 2004 which is a game I loved, but compared to what I've been playing since then its kinda ugly.
Hmm.. Maybe I should fire up Ut2k4 I haven't played in quite a while, or any pc game for that matter. (360/PS3 mostly these days)

I can join servers, but can't get mine to join the list of servers (lan connection only)
I like AssaultCube, it's pretty fun to play once in a while. I just wish they would add building features into it. One of my favorite FPS is the game called Tremulous. It's free and very fun. http://tremulous.net/ Here's some info about it:
Summary
Tremulous is a free, open source game that blends a team based FPS with elements of an RTS. Players can choose from 2 unique races, aliens and humans. Players on both teams are able to build working structures in-game like an RTS. These structures provide many functions, the most important being spawning. The designated builders must ensure there are spawn structures or other players will not be able to rejoin the game after death. Other structures provide automated base defense (to some degree), healing functions and much more...
Player advancement is different depending on which team you are on. As a human, players are rewarded with credits for each alien kill. These credits may be used to purchase new weapons and upgrades from the "Armoury". The alien team advances quite differently. Upon killing a human foe, the alien is able to evolve into a new class. The more kills gained the more powerful the classes available.
The overall objective behind Tremulous is to eliminate the opposing team. This is achieved by not only killing the opposing players but also removing their ability to respawn by destroying their spawn structures.
Feature List
Flexible particle system - 99% of the in-game visual effects are configured using particle scripts.16 buildable structures with in-game functions.
Play as several alien classes with unique abilities.
Customize your setup as a human and buy new weapons, armour and items.
Scale the walls and ceilings as an alien waiting for an unsuspecting human.
Realistic physics and motion - no bunny hopping or quick back peddling.
Flexible map system - animated mapobjects, triggering, light flares, etc.
Large weapons system - don't like the weapon you have? Sell it and buy a different one, dozens of options.
I personally like the aliens the best. I like being able to evolve into new classes, rather than having to buy my way to good items.
