about a week ago i noticed youtube comments for any video i watch are not loading and i noticed when i looked up something to show to my friend safesearch was on fix this please
CCleaner can’t delete or block such things. Did you mean CCleaner browser?
google and ccleaner browser
I’m not sure i understand. Are you talking about a bug in CCleaner browser? Are you saying you think CCleaner, the program used to clean PCs did something and is blocking comments on the yoitube site in both CCleaner browser and chrome?
If the former, I’ll move the thread to the correct place.
If the latter, CCleaner, the pc cleaner, can’t do that in any way that i know (usually a browser addon would do that, like an ad blocker). Did you add custom files in CCleaner? Are you using health check or custom clean? Did you run the registry section and, if so, were you judicious in the fixing or did you fix everything offered.
Please also provide your windows and CCleaner versions (note “latest” means nothing please provide CCleaner’s version number)
Safesearch is a Google feature that will ‘Blur’ or ‘Filter out’ adult content.
It has nothing to do with CCleaner.
Safesearch will reset to default (usually Blur*) when you close your browser session.
So when you re-open the browser again Safesearch will be on again.
*Note though that in certain circumstances Safesearch will default, or may be locked (eg by parents) to, ‘Filter’ rather than ‘Blur’.

More about SafeSearch
SafeSearch is designed to detect explicit content like pornography and graphic violence on Google Search. If you don’t want to see explicit content in your search results, you can select Filter to block any explicit content that’s been detected, or Blur to blur explicit images.
SafeSearch is set to Filter automatically when Google’s systems indicate that you may be under 18.
If you can’t change your SafeSearch setting, it might be because it’s being controlled by your account, device or network administrator. For example, parents and schools can lock SafeSearch to Filter for child and student accounts. SafeSearch Filter can also be built into public Wi-Fi networks (like at an airport or library), parental controls on your operating system and antivirus software, which may override your individual SafeSearch setting.
you might need to add the google cookies to ccleaner’s “cookies to save” list. you can find that at ccleaner’s “options”/“cookies.”
alternatively, in ccleaner’s custom-clean settings, for whichever browser you use, set it to not remove any cookies (rather than using the “cookies to save” list, to save particular cookies).
likewise, you might need to add google cookies to your browser’s “cookies to save” list.
i don’t know what the issue is that you are having with youtube comments. i wouldn’t think that ccleaner would have anything to do with that. i would suggest that you go into your google-account and find the settings, there, for “youtube,” in “privacy,” and adjust them.
i mistakenly thought that you were having an issue with the ccleaner program since you posted in the ccleaner support forum. now i see that you are having an issue with the ccleaner browser (not the ccleaner program).
i would recommend using a mainstream browser like firefox or chrome or the MS edge-chromium browser, instead.
however google says that they are going to change chrome to where it only supports “manifest v3.” the MS edge-chromium browser likely will be the same, in which case you will no longer be able to use the “ublock origin” browser-extension with those browsers. so, for that reason, i really would only recommend using the firefox browser.
in addition to recommending the ublock origin" browser-extension, i also would recommend using the “malwarebytes browser guard” browser-extension. it blocks lots of malicious URLs.
i also use the “quad9” DNS servers. it too blocks lots of malicious URLs.
it also would be good to use the “noscript” browser-extension. it restricts javascript from running which makes your browser much more secure.
when you have javascrpt restricted from running, you have to make “exceptions,” as necessary, to allow javascript to run on particular webpages,
you would need to save google.com cookies in order for the search-settings to be saved.
