SafeMSI

Anyone ever used this? I can think of loads of times when I could have done with it.

Problem is some uninstallers will put up a big fuss when trying to remove them in safe mode if they're MSI based, usually with words like "System Damage, System Corruption", etc.

great find.

i'll be trying it out the next time i have to remove crapware in safe mode.

as you say hazelnut, i had plenty of times when it would have come in very handy, hope it works as good in practice as it sounds...

Yea, i too could have used this a couple of times

just a bit of feedback.

had my first chance today to use SafeMSI and it worked !.

i tried removing some crap, and as usual, Windows said 'no, not in safe mode', so thinking all SafeMSI did was start the Installer service, I manually tried to start it.

again, Windows said 'no, can't be done in safe mode'

ran SafeMSI, it stated it had started the service, i tried the uninstall again, and all good.

nice little program. it's been added to my little toolbox of goodies for other such ocassions.

Good feedback mta.

Nice find. It sounds quite useful.

Nice find, Hazel.

Nice hat, mta. :)

Nice hat, mta. :)

i felt like getting in the mood of the season, having just done the house and put up the tree.

plus, there was all the peer group pressure, seemed i might as well join in.

+1 to the hat mta. post-8751-0-76985400-1355175008.gif

Don't you just love Christmas.

And +1 to that nice tool hazel.

and good to see SafeMSI still works under Win10.

Good to know that mta :)

still going strong with Win10 Anniversary Update (build 14393.351)

ripper little program.

Good to hear it still works on latest OS's :)

- I have a pretty good idea what "trick" this program "has up its sleeve". Tweaking's Windows Repair employs the same kind of trick to make it possible to run some repairs in Safe Mode.
