Hello. I have a problem with opening CCleaner from the recycle bin. I get this error (null) not a valid win32 application. I searched all the forums and the only thing that i could find was when someone couldn't run the setup of CCleaner. I have searched the registry and found no changed shell paths, compaired them with another windows installation and found no differences. Also from my search on google some sites suggested that i may have a virus, but i searched that part too and i didn't find anything.
Any help? I can open CCleaner from the start menu and all my other programs work fine.
Have you tried reinstalling it?
How about this:
1 - Open CCleaner
2 - Go to "Options"
3 - Select "Settings"
4 - Uncheck "Add Run CCleaner option to Recycle Bin context menu"
5 - Re-check "Add Run CCleaner option to Recycle Bin context menu"
This action will first remove CCleaner from the recycle bin and then it will add it again to the recyble bin menu using the path of the running instance of CCleaner...
I hope this helps!
Thank you for your answers. I have tried both suggestions but i forgot to mention them in my post. // I found out that if i install CCleaner to its default folder, C:\Program Files\CCleaner the recycle bin shortcut works but if i install it at another custom dir that i have it will report the error "(null) not a valid win32 application".
Somehow it fixed itself..
