running Ccleaner can corrupt system files?

Hi experts,

running Ccleaner in a pc with Windows 8.1 64bits can damage or corrupt any file?

Is it safe to accept to delete all the registry keys and dll files proposed by Ccleaner?

Thanks

First question, not really

Second question Absolutly not (for registry entries). Ccleaner shouldn't be suggesting any dll files, can you provide an example?

Ccleaner shouldn't be suggesting any dll files

Missing Shared DLLs, which is listed at the top in the registry cleaner comes to mind.

No expert am I, but will suggest this: Use the registry cleaner one step at a time.

Save the backups where you can remember them, in case you find out later that something broke.

Sometimes much later, so I make a folder called CC_backups or something like that and keep them for a long time.

Same goes for any registry cleaner or tuner-upper software.
