Rollback RX - wiping free space

Beware using CCleaner's new feature of wiping disk free space when you're running the HorizonDataSys product Rollback-RX.

If you're wiping the free space on the C partiton Rollback-RX will fill the C partition as it records all the writes that CCleaner's wiping of free space is performing. This continues until the partition is almost full and at that point Rollback's snapshot fails and the Windows operating system becomes unstable.

Rollback users are reporting on reboot Windows is stating that the Windows operating system is damaged.

A full restore of the C partiton is the correction to the damage of Windows

Hi Andy, and welcome to the forum.

I have no experience of the Software to which you refer, but I'm sure users of it will appreciate your taking the trouble to post that information.

I would hazard a guess that if this is the case, it would apply to using any other "Wipe Free Space" applications as well.
