I want to be able to retain the 'most recently' viewed file list in Excel and Word to make life easier when I go back in. CCleaner wipes this info out. What box can I check/uncheck so this info is saved? THANKS.
'Cleaner->Application' tab untick Microsoft Office, on my system it's listed as: Office 2003
You can also use a registry exclude on the Microsoft Office settings, that way CCleaner can never wipe them out again:
- 'Options->Exclude->Add->Registry Key->Browse'
- Input these registry values:
· Use HKCU from the dropdown box then input: Software\Microsoft\Office
· Use HKLM from the drop down box then input: Software\Microsoft\Office
Hmm, I don't know when this long drawn out nestled deep process "Options->Exclude->Add->Registry Key->Browse" was changed, but I definitely liked the old much quicker way better.
