Can I just restore a portion of a backed up registry from C Cleaner? My partner was cleaning his computer and went a little too far. He deleted some drivers and messed up a few registry entries, then updated his computer. It went south from there. I am no tech, I am somewhat digitally challenged, LOL! However I am learning. I would like to be able to open the >reg fiule and pick the entries I would like to restore instead of uninstalling the upgrade and losing a whole bunch of stuff that has accumulated since the error. Can anyone tell me how, if it is possible?
You can manually edit .REG files, however you run the risk of removing too much from it and not fully undoing the changes.
