Taking too long..????

Did you manage to resolve this?

I've got the same issue, plus when I try to update software via 'Software Updater' it does nothing.

Is there a way to report this to Ccleaner support?

Same issue here as my CCleaner 6.22 has been stuck for an hour in "Resolving Issues" doing nothing...

And same problem heredownload.svg

What is it that each of you are you doing/seeing in Health Check immediately before seeing that 'Resolving Issues' screen?

If it was the software updating section then what software had it found to be updated?

@Two Dog Pete What software was/is it in the Software Updater that is not updating for you?

Same here! Help please Windows 10

It comes up just after you hit the health check button- it goes through the health check then the resolve issues screen comes on and nothing happens.

So it's not even getting as far as the 'Scan' button for you, or do you mean after the scan?

A couple more questions:

Are you on Windows 10 or 11?

Are you using an Antivirus other than Windows Security/Defender?

If so then what AV is it and what version is it at.

It scans. Windows 10 just windows AV

Thanks,

let's see what the others report to see if there is anything in common as to why it isn't working for some of you.

PS. The CCleaner staff are aware of this issue and are looking into it, the more information people can give helps.

Here is a screen shot of the screen just before the resolving issues screen hangs....

For me, the "Resolving issues" gets stuck in Health Check - Security - 5 outdated apps. "Canceling" gets stuck also, forcing an App close.

[Windows 11 Pro, x64]

Thanks for the replies.

That does look like the changes made to the Software Updating then.

It's probably a particular app that you are all using that wasn't included in the software updater before but is included now.

It could be more that one app that is giving the issue.

In which case it's a matter of identifying the problematic app(s) and fixing the issue(s) or simply removing it/them from the list of apps to check.

As I said above the Staff are reading this thread, so will be working on it.

The devs believe they have found the cause of this issue.

An update has been done and will be rolling out to customers in the next 24 hours.

One more data point.

Selecting Resolve does not resolve

Selecting Cancel does not cancel

Can only close the app to clear process

Try doing them one at a time - and leave Office until the last, apparently that's quite a large update.

still not working. This needs to be fixed or I will not be renewing.

How long are you giving it? I believe that the Office update is quite large and so can take time.

You could try updating Office from within Office itself.

In fact you could do that for each of the softwares that Health Check is finding to update, that will show if it's a particular update to a particular software that is having an issue.

Remember that CCleaner is only calling the update(s), if an update itself is faulty then that's the update not CCleaner.

It doesn't tell me what the 10 issues are or what programs are associated with them. Otherwise I would.

Click on the down arrow to see a list of what it has found:
