Removing Junk files using Ccleaner on windows XP Professional

I am using windows XP professional edition on my home computer, The performace is wrost day by day even I am connect with ssd drive but performance is compromised. I want to run a windows cleanup using Ccleaner program. Is ccleaner is capable to remove junk and other crap files from my computer?

Many people use it on WinXP, I myself also use it on WinXP Pro SP3. Cleaning up crap/junk is what it does!

ServicePack3 of XP is a requirement of ccleaner but other than that, as above stated, it should work fine
