I wanted to completely remove Mozilla FF from my computer and then reinstall FF. Do I have to use CCleaner? I'm new to CC and wanted to know if someone could give me directions on how to go about removing it.
Add/Remove should work fine on Firefox.
Remember that if you want a truely clean install you will need to create a new profile. To do that go to start>run> type: firefox.exe -p. Delete your old profile and create a new one. Just remember to save your bookmarks if you want to keep them.
Do I have to uninstall firefox first or go to start> run> type: "firefox.exe -p and then go into add/remove and remove firefox? Can I get step by step directions?
Look at this page it takes you through step by step at creating a new profile:
Sometimes, when your Firefox installation is badly corrupted, you need to delete the Mozilla Firefox installation folder in C:\Program Files, and/or delete the entire Profile folder. But don't worry about that unless you are having problems after a normal "clean install".
