I should have said add/remove programs . . . but Yahoo is not there.
Customizing my toolbar revealed nothing about Yahoo.
HAZELNUT: None of the images look like the Yahoo Toolbar I have.
I have McAfee Site Advisor loaded . . . perhaps Yahoo got downloaded with it? But McAfee is not in my add/remove programs and I can't see what else got downloaded with it.
After uninstalling McAfee Site Advisor . . . I reinstalled it. And there was the option for the Yahoo Toolbar (sneaks!) I unclicked it and finished the download.
I rebooted then went to my web browser to search for something and Yahoo Search Results showed up AGAIN!
The strange thing is McAfee has been on my system for more than 2 years and there was never a problem with Yahoo showing up.
I'm at a lost trying to figure out how to remove the Yahoo Search Results and going straight to Google!
Are you certain some installation didn't just change your search engine in your browser(s) to Yahoo? It's a relatively easy change to make in browser(s) preferences.
The latest Site Advisor pops up and says do you want to add secure search, this is confusing (I was confused by it and even told it yes) as it seems to be asking if I want site advisor to inform me on search sites of the green/yellow/red/white state of a site. It does not mean that, it means it wants to add a yahoo search to the browser(s)
