Remove partition after Drive Wiping

Hello,

I am using CCleaner's drive wiper very often.

Could it be possible to create an option to remove the partition after doing a "whole drive" wiping? Now ccleaner is wiping the data from the selected partitions, but reformats them afterwards. I would like to have an option to remove the partition after wiping instead of formatting.

Thanks

I think that's beyond the scope of CCleaner, but I might be wrong.

but reformats them afterwards.

That was not my experience in the past.

Are you sure that CCleaner reformats,

or is that just an assumption based upon the fact that the partition is still present but is now empty and ready for use ?

I believe that the Drive Wiper Entire Drive Erase runs a quick format and then runs wipe free space on what's left. As El P says, removing the partition (whatever that means) is way beyond CC's remit.

@augeas: Removing the partion (whatever that means)

Now it is as simply as that. Have you never removed a partition? You can do that in the computer management/disk manager in windows xp and higher.

partion = partition

@ svenvandewege

You have asked a stupid question

All moderators on this forum are fully experienced at creating and removing partitions.

The ONLY reason I see for removing a partition is to obtain "Unallocated Space" that can be reused to create new partitions,

and since partition creation requires that you launch a computer management/disk manager utility,

why not defer the removal until you have launched this utility.

Sven, yes thanks. I am aware of what a partition is and how to repartition a drive. What I was trying to establish is what the OP meant.
