Registry cleaner "backups"

I'll take responsibility for this one....

But I would like to see the wording changed for the registry cleaner "backups".

I was under the impression that what was being done was a "backup" of the registry file before the changes were made.

But it's NOT...it's more like a "restore" or "undo" file that only contains the "before change" state of the registry keys that are being changed, right?

Unfortunately, for me, I found this out the hard way....

Thanks!

Maybe one of these pages will clarify what CCleaner does...?

A lot of the regular guys on here (probably most of them), back up the entire registry ever day, and that practice can be a real life saver. Problems in the registry are usually the major cause of windows issues.

I use the GUI version of Erunt, although I'm sure some still use the original "set it up yourself" variety.

Original Version: (No "easy to use" GUI)
