So I was transferring files from PC to PC via an USB drive (mostly movie files). Then i noticed and folder on my USB called Recycler and i was like wft i didnt put that there. so i processed to reformat the usb drive. havent seen the folder on it seen. but found it on 3 of my PCs all in the same directory C:\RECYCLER to see it i had to change the folder options to - 'show hidden files and folder' , ' uncheck the hide extensionsfor known file types' , and uncheck 'hide protected operating system files'. yes i know those option are there for a reason but i figured i was infected by a virus (PC and Browser were acting wierd).
So after seeing the Recycler folder and doing so google'in i found out that every forum and what not said it was a virus.
and tried everything a could possible think of to delete the folder. (with my limited know how) that lasted 3 days of anti virus downloading each not detecting the Recycler folder as a virus.
Just today me and my sister figured out how to remove it. no anti virus program needed
but the down side is that when you delete a file and it goes to the recycle bin or use ccleaner the Recycler folder comes back. so i was think maybe its not a virus maybe its just a temp folder that the recycle bin and ccleaner using for some reason.
so incase its a virus and its ccleaner related i've stopped using it and don't use the recycle bin either.
if you wondering about the not using the recycle bin - i just changed its properties to delete without moving to the bin and stopped the display of the confirmation window.
on a side note i did find an anti virus program called Prevx CSI which says it will clean the recycler folder. which it does dectect it. but i dont wanna paid money to remove it. seeing how it might not even be a virus.
